Detox Foot Pads-Are they worth it?
In the last couple of years there has been a lot of interest in detox foot pads as a way of removing toxins from the body. Although we recognize that some toxins may be released via the foot detox method, we would however caution against relying solely (pun intended) on this method. One of the most popular foot pad products is the Kinoki Foot Pad, which contains several ingredients, with the most active probably being the bamboo vinegar and detox herbs. We do believe that apple vinegar would serve a similar purpose if used as outlined at the bottom of this article.
Most people in the western world need to cleanse their colon and liver from the years of accumulated waste build up, cleansing through the soles of the feet is something that should not be of concern. If the colon and liver are not clean, it is impossible to have good health. It is simply not possible to remove mucoid plaque though the soles of the feet, and the amount of toxins that can be removed through the soles of the feet is extremely small in comparison to the amount that can be removed by cleansing the colon. Possibly once the colon, liver and other organs are clean, then some additional toxins may be removed through the detox foot pad method. In Japan it is believe that there is a small part of the liver that can only be cleansed through detox foot pads or through the feet in some way. But this pales in comparison to the amount of toxins that can be stored in the rest of the liver, bowel and other organs. There has also been several discouraging studies involving the foot pads, stating that the pads will go black even if distilled water is added to them. This is discouraging to discover as many people consider that the 'blackness' of the pads when they take them off in the morning is due to toxins being removed from their bodies. There was also another study that measured the levels of toxins in the pads after use and found it to be zero. Below is a method of detoxifying the body through the feet, which doesn't use the detox foot pads and is much cheaper: Natural Home Made Foot Detox-Find a container that you can fit your feet in. -Put enough pure water into it to cover your feet, make the water is as hot as you can stand. -Pour in 2 cups of organic apple cider vinegar (unfiltered) -Add 2 tablespoons of cayenne pepper powder and stir well -Soak your feet until the water cools, or you have had enough. -You may notice that your feet start to smell a few hours after this due to any toxins being removed. -Continue daily until your feet stop smelling, or as long as you want.
