A mild purgative, and in diarrhoea and dysentery the very best that can he employed; also good in worms. It may be used in extract, pills, or syrup.

Is diuretic, stimulant, tonic, anti-spasmodic, aperient, and alterative; useful in all obstructions of the urinary organs, jaundice, biliary obstructions,
