Cleanse and Smile!

They say that karma, or “as you sow so shall you reap” effects to us all. They also say that you are what you eat. So if we contemplate this we are bound to wonder about just how profoundly our body, thinking capacity, energy levels and overall wellbeing is affected by what we consume.

There are amazing testimonials of people who have undertaken a cleansing program with unexpected and rewarding results. One man stopped consuming artificial sweeteners and his multiple sclerosis symptoms disappeared after a year of medical tests and procedures showed no cause or cure for his ailment (Turn Over a New Leaf by Di Skelly Heron).

Then there is the man who was seized with overwhelmingly painful stomach cramps while in his row-boat. This man regularly undertook periods of fasting for health. This day he barely managed to get to shore, when he had a bowel movement in which liquid mercury finally exited his system! (There they had remained since he was a child taking such elemental medications that contained mercury).

A grandmother placed her six month old baby on a cleansing program to eliminate his painful colic, allergies and digestive upsets – and with marvelous results! (Cleanse & Purify Yourself by Richard Anderson).

And then there is the lady who treats infertile couples with alkaline-forming diets, herbs and whole food supplements (Dr Antonia Rhul). The appreciative parents send photos of their newborn babies whom they never thought they would parent. A happy moment, especially for the majority who have undertaken sadly unsuccessful IVF programs and only used such basic, natural methods as a last hope!

Luckily there is an answer to managing your health! You don’t need to wait until your Doctor wants to put you on cholesterol medication and high blood pressure medication to get started! You don’t need to wait until the Dr says that you have to do something about your blood sugar levels to get started! And if you don’t have any acknowledged health problems yet – there is still time to make a change towards a healthy future!!

How? Cleansing!!

The Bowels

We have all heard about a liver cleanse but what about a bowel cleanse? The bowel is very important – not only as an organ for digestion and elimination, but especially important in the absorption of nutrients.

The Colon

The bowel consists of the small intestines (duodenum, jejunum, and ileum) and the large intestines (ascending colon, transverse colon and descending colon). In the small intestines the villi absorb the altered food for distribution by the blood and lymphatic systems to the rest of the body. Bacteria, indigestible food residues and mucous form the bulk of the matter in the large intestine, and it is here that the bulk of the water content is absorbed through the walls of the large intestine.

When looking at the digestive system and the bowels there can be many symptoms that can indicate that a bowel cleanse would be beneficial such as bloating, wind, abdominal cramps, constipation, chronic diarrhea, hemorrhoids.

Certain ailments such as intestinal lymphangiectasia – (swelling as a result of obstruction of lymphatic vessels or lymph nodes and the accumulation of large amounts of lymph in the affected regions), intestinal metaplasia, mucous polyps and others can also benefit from a bowel cleanse!

But there is another way of ascertaining whether a bowel cleanse may be a good idea for you, and that is..

Iridology!

Iridology is the study of the iris (the coloured part of the eye) to determine possible health problems. Iridologists look for certain colours and markings within different regions of the iris as a reflection of what is happening within the body (or even what has happened previously).

One major benefit of iridology is that it can be used as a preventative practice! Iridologists aim to detect signs within the iris as early as possible. This can then assist in preventing possible health complications by pointing people in the right direction for necessary diagnostics and treatment. Iridology isn’t used as a diagnostic tool but as a form of guidance and insights that can be most useful!

And so how exactly does it work? The marks (or “lesions” as they are known) within the iris are made through abnormal nerve impulses, which cause the structures in the iris to stray from their normal arrangement. This leads to different colours and fibre markings appearing in the iris.

By taking a look at your eyes in the mirror of a clear-lit room, you may even be able to see some of the following signs that would indicate that a cleanse could be a fantastic choice for you!

The Eye of a “chocaholic”!

Iridology blue eye

This person has a genetic blue iris. The white fibres throughout the eye suggest that the body is in an acidic state (rather than a healthy alkaline state). This is a fairly acute or recent occurrence. On the other hand, the yellow colouring suggests other problems that have been more chronic – especially the overburdened lymphatic system.

The lymphatic system is one of the body’s cleansing mechanisms. Its job is to keep cells of the body clean from toxins and bacteria, support the immunity of the body and to transport fats and fat-soluble vitamins around the body.

Interestingly, the mucous membranes of the intestines contain peyer’s patches (areas of lymphoid tissue). Their job is to prevent toxins, poisons, undigested food proteins, bacteria and other nasties from entering the blood stream, and this is precisely where a thorough bowel detoxification assists the lymphatic system to cleanse!

The whitish circle around the pupil (the dark circle in the middle) indicates that the pH level of this individual’s stomach is over-acidic (which can occur as a result of eating too much sugar) while the yellow patches within this circle indicate that the problem has become a bit more chronic. The little spokes radiating from the pupil suggest that there may be parasites present.

A bowel cleanse can help to clean out the lymphatic system and assist in the removal of any parasites. Parasites can cause nutrient deficiencies by using the nutrients that we eat to keep themselves alive.

They can also contribute to lethargy, excess weight (especially around the torso of the body) or an underweight body (due to robbing the body of nutrients), constipation, stomach bloating, blood sugar fluctuations, and food cravings – especially sweet and fatty foods or junk food. Furthermore, parasites can give off cortisol which can contribute to feelings of anxiety or even insomnia.

The World Health Organisation estimates that 3.5 billion people suffer from some sort of parasitic infection – and this includes people in developed countries – not just third world nations as some would think!

Reproductive Ailments:

Iridology brown eye

The first thing that is noticeable when viewing this eye is that her nervous system is under stress – the concentric white circles and arcs around the eye would be one indicator of this.

Once again the spokes coming from the pupil may indicate parasites, while the extension of the brown segment at 2 O’clock would indicate that toxins from the bowel may in fact be a contributor to headaches in this individual and may affect factors such as concentration.

The orange colour in the eye may denote fluctuating blood sugar levels that can lead to symptoms such as sugar cravings and coffee cravings, variations in energy levels, irritable or unhappy feelings on an empty stomach, dizziness when hungry, and rapid heart beat and anxiety when low blood sugar levels occur (hypoglycemia).

This lady also presented with hormonal problems – irregular periods, PMS and acne. Many people don’t seem to be aware of the link between bowel health and hormonal health. For example recent scientific evidence suggests that “bad” bacteria produced by bowel toxins may use a bacterial enzyme called glucuronidase to reactivate “dead” estrogens which are then reabsorbed into the blood.

For all types of bowel problems it is important to eat many fruits and vegetables. These foods contain generous amounts of fibre that are known to prevent bowel cancer and possibly other types of cancer! For people with hormonal problems – particularly excessive estrogen – these foods are very important. Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and Brussels sprouts contain indole-3-carbinol, a natural antioxidant. This super antioxidant created by nature improves estrogen metabolism and the body’s ability to eliminate excess estrogen.

The case of estrogen dominance is a major cause of women’s health concerns according to many natural therapists (including Dr John Lee, author of “What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause) which may lead to problems such as fibroids of the uterus, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, cancer etc. This is because the excess estrogen stores can stagnate and over stimulate cell division which leads to abnormal growth.

With studies showing that 60-75% of breast cancers are estrogen dependent or stimulated by estrogen, this is a very important point.

Part of keeping the bowels and digestive tract healthy and efficient includes the avoidance of all types of red meat, poultry and fish. By eliminating these, many nasties will also be avoided such as artificial hormones (or in organic meat – hormones from another animal including stress hormones in addition to sex hormones), traces of antibiotics that will contribute or cause an imbalance of bowel bacteria, dioxins which have been linked to liver disease, bacteria, diseased or virus-infected cells and a range of other health-endangering toxins.

So what are you waiting for?? Good health can be yours! A more enthusiastic outlook on life and better energy levels can be yours! Doctor Bernard Jensen, DC, ND, Ph.D. stated that, “In the 50 years I’ve spent helping people to overcome illness, disability and disease, it has become crystal clear that poor bowel management lies at theĀ  root of most people’s health problems.”

You don’t have to wait until your body starts demanding your attention with aches and pain to do something about your health! You need not wait until the doctor puts you on medication before you take a step in the right direction! Don’t wait until you look in the mirror and notice that you are aging prematurely before you do something! Even doing regular enemas can display healing sign in the iris, why not give it a go.

Start bowel cleansing and eating a high-alkaline diet and find out how good you can feel! Be an example to your family and friends of just how energetic, vibrant and healthy you can be, and encourage your children to do the same to offer them the brightest future possible. After all, health is a priceless gift!
