Many people attempt to do a liver cleanse by taking herbs and certain foods which stimulate the liver, but unfortunately, if the bowel is not clean, once the liver cleanse or special diet is finished the liver will become dirty again, due to the toxins from the bowel. This is because the bowel is the first line of defence in the body against wrong eating. So it is much better to cleanse the bowel first, and then the liver. But luckily most bowel cleansing formulas will also cleanse the liver automatically as many of the bowel cleansing herbs also stimulate bile production in the liver.

The best detox and colon cleansing kits we are aware of is the Bio Cleanse Detox, which can be purchased here or you can learn more about here, as it cleanses every organ of the body. We highly recommend performing one of these cleanses before doing a liver-gallbladder flush. We have also reviewed some of the worlds most popular cleansing and detox products here.

Many people however have gallstones in the liver and gallbladder which should be removed using the liver-gallbladder flush once a bowel cleanse has been completed. American medical textbooks indicate that only 20% of Americans over 65 have gallstones, but some natural health practitioners suggest almost all Americans have gallstones, due to their diet which is high in meat and fatty food.

The Cause of Gallstones

Gallstones are caused by a lack of organic sodium in the diet, which is the result of consuming too much acid forming food, a high protein diet and/or large amounts of emotional stress. It is important to recognize the difference between organic sodium and inorganic sodium. Organic sodium is found naturally in foods and inorganic sodium is fond in table salt and sea salt (sodium chloride). The difference is that organic sodium is in a free form and is useable by the body, whereas sodium chloride, or inorganic sodium is bound to a chloride ion which makes it impossible for the body to use. In fact, consuming inorganic sodium, robs the body of organic sodium. Excellent sources of organic sodium include celery, dark greens, tomatoes, avocado, Goat whey and celery.

An effective way to remove gallstones from the bile ducts of the gall bladder and liver is to perform a Liver-Gallbladder flush , which is a lot less painful (and cheaper) than surgery. It involves eating a lot of apples and/or apple juice and then drinking a cup of olive oil and lemon juice. For full instructions on performing the liver-gallbladder cleanse, please refer to the instruction.

Most people who perform a liver cleanse like this will see the stones in the toilet at the end of the cleanse. What a wonderful way to avoid surgery! After performing the cleanse, it is a good idea to switch to a vegetarian diet to maintain good health.
